Team Pictures & Mariners Little League Day Dates Set

Picture Day for West Seattle Little League will be Saturday April 27 at the Hamilton Viewpoint Park on California.  Team times should have been communicated to you by your Manager or Team Parent.  Overall schedule is listed in calendar event here: Picture Day Info

Mariners Little League Day is Sunday May 26. More details on the day can be found in the attached flyer/order form.  You should be hearing from your Team Parent about when to turn in your order form.

Mandatory Managers Manager (Wed Feb 27 6:00-9:00pm) – West Seattle High

This is a mandatory meeting for all 2013 Team Managers for the Tee Ball, Coach Pitch, Minors and Majors Divisions.  Please arrive on time as there will be a lot to cover.  Additionally, Jose Rijo of Rijo Athletics will be joining the meeting and providing a 2 hour “Coaches Clinic” to go over some great skill-building drills for you to use to help you teach your players and advance their abilities.

Agenda:

  • 6:00 – 7:00pm : Review of 2013 information – including rules and league bylaw changes.
  • 7:-00 – 9:00pm: Coaching Clinic with Jose Rijo

Location: The Commons area at West Seattle High School

First Aid & CPR/AED Training – Mandatory for Mgrs/Coaches (2/28, 3/14, or 3/28)

District 7 is hosting 3 First Aid with CPR/AED trainings for the 2013 season.  Per Little League International safety requirements, at least one coach from all teams are required to have First Aid training.  In addition, Little League “highly recommends” at least one coach from all teams be certified with CPR/AED training.

Each team will be asked to demonstrate that one manager or coach attended this class this year or prove they attended it last year (two year certificate).
